With over 10 years of experience in the food industry, she is committed to upholding our company’s reputation for excellence and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and a master's degree in quiality manageent systems and specialization in food safety from University of San Carlos of Guatemala and has completed certifications in HACCP, ISO 9001, 22000, 14000,19011, SQF, BRC.
Throughout her career, María Eugenia Guerra has developed a comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems, allowing her to implement effective quality control measures that ensure product integrity from raw materials to finished goods.
At Comeragua, María Eugenia Guerra oversees a dedicated team responsible for conducting rigorous quality assessments and audits throughout the manufacturing process. She plays a key role in developing and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs), conducting regular training for staff, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
María Eugenia Guerra is passionate about maintaining a safe and high-quality product for our customers. She collaborates closely with production, supply chain, and R&D teams to identify opportunities for enhancing product quality and safety while optimizing operational efficiency.
Outside of work, María Eugenia Guerra enjoys reading, traveling, spending quality time with her family and is actively involved in advising food companies on compliance,advising engineering students on their graduation workWith her expertise and dedication, María Eugenia plays a vital role in ensuring that Comeragua not only meets but exceeds industry standards, delivering safe and high-quality food products to our valued customers.
